Join us at Forgotten Sound Farm for an immersive 1/2 day workshop.
We will be diving deep into how we prep the soil (and the importance of soil health), amendments, composting process, planting strategies to maximise production and health of the crops , factors to consider when designing a farm/garden & tool selection.
We will be sharing all the knowledge from our Market Gardening background in a way that is applicable for the home garden!
We want to help you work smarter!
With lots of hands on demonstration & an informal discussion style, Jaimi will be answering a lot of the common problems and mistakes growers in counter in our climate.
You will go home with an incredible excel resource of Forgotten Sound Farm’s top 10 crops with information on best months to sow, transplant , tips for germination and more.
That resource will be invaluable to a lot of local growers!
What to bring
- Enclosed shoes (preferably boots)
- Hat/sunscreen
- Water bottle
- Snack if you feel the need
Access
While our farm is on flat ground it is not wheel chair accessible due to the narrow farm rows. This workshop is not suitable for children under 12 yrs of age.
